My Thesis is Defended! I have passed my thesis defense, and am considered an M.A. in Art Education as of August 2008. Yippie! Submit to a Publisher a Preschool Picture Book The preschool picture book I wrote ("My Aunt and I") now needs to be illustrated in order to submit it to the perfect publisher - Cartwheel Books. I am working on illustrating the book while I continue to write more in the series about other family members.  I still need to find an agent.  I am also submitting my writing for consideration to the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (www.scbwi.org) for a small grant - Kimberly Colen Grant - due mid-September. The expect the grant to allow me to focus on completing the illustrations of my book.  Find a Reputable Gallery to Represent My Artwork (& Me) This summer, during the months of June and July, I am working on producing a body of artwork to present to a specific gallery I have become enamored with in Scottsdale, Arizona - Bonner David Galleries at 7040 E. Main Street (www.bonnerdavid.com). I look forward to making a deal that benefits us both. I am also meeting with an art dealer in Los Angeles in August for what I expect are similar reasons.
